Resilient

Life brings everything with it,
Because this world is not eternal.
God’s will is unknown to me,
My future looks unclear.
My eyes have searched for light so long,
I keep looking for warmth.
If life is just a chain,
Let me be one bead on it.
I keep rowing my little boat,
Even when sadness surrounds me.
I live this short life,
So my bead will not break.
I will never bow my head,
I won’t leave this life in shame.
I won’t break when tests come,
I move against the stream.
Many cannot pass these trials,
They wear the clothes of death.
What saves me from all sorrow
Is my poetry, my friend.
I take what I need from art,
And follow it forever.
If death comes, I will die,
But my poem will never die.
